Mentorship

We conduct and participate in community-based intervention research studies to improve the quality of life among African American men and their families.

Mentorship Programs

Men of Standard

The Men of Standard (MOS) mentoring program is a statewide collaborative mentoring approach designed to provide programming, experiences and positive male role models to help young men navigate through life. Participants enrolled in our program are paired with professional mentors, career coaches, and barrier removal services to obtain a high school diploma and help them to enter the 21st Century workforce.

Core program activities include one-on-one and group mentoring, professional and leadership development, drug and alcohol prevention, and career training built to prepare our participants for a successful life’s journey. Our proposed activities provide exposure to people, supportive services and positive experiences that our participants may not have had without joining our program. We prepare young men to be the best version of themselves by becoming future contributors to their communities and role models for their families
