Mental health challenges are an often silent crisis within the Black community, particularly among Black men. Stigma, cultural barriers, and a lack of access to resources prevent many from seeking the help they need.
- Black Americans faced a 58% increase in suicide rates between 2011 and 2021 with suicide being the third leading cause of death for Black Americans between the ages 15 to 24 in 2020.
- Black men experience disproportionate rates of depression, anxiety, and trauma, yet often lack access to culturally competent mental health care.
