Founded in 2004 and now present in over 20 cities nationwide, Black Men’s Wellness Day is a powerful awareness campaign dedicated to encouraging Black men to live longer, healthier lives by raising awareness and creating access to lifesaving information and resources. preventable diseases. It features a 5K walk and run, entertainment, vendor pavilion, kids zone and more.

CLINIC TO COMMUNITY
African American men are 70% more likely to die from preventable diseases than white men. Through free health screenings, PCP access, and fitness activities, the event empowers men to take charge of their health and promotes a culture of wellness in our communities. Annually, Black Men’s Wellness Day provides hundreds of thousands of Black men and their families access to free health screenings earning recognition from former President Barack Obama. In Ohio, August is delcared as African American Male Wellness Month by former Governor John Kasich.
